The Kansas City Chiefs were able to win their second straight Super Bowl, and a lot of that had to do with the great play from Patrick Mahomes, as well as the coaching of Andy Reid.
In a recent article by Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports, he ranks who he believes are the top 10 quarterback-coach duos in the NFL. To nobody’s surprise, the duo that he has at No. 1 on his list is Mahomes and Reid.
“Mahomes and Reid likely aren’t falling from the top of this list any time soon,” Kerr writes. “What they are accomplishing is entering the territory of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.”
The Chiefs have been able to build a dynasty over the last several seasons, and it is due to the genius of Reid, as well as the generational talent of Mahomes under center.
They have won a Super Bowl in three of the last five seasons, and this season, they looking to become the first team to ever win three straight Super Bowls. The creative play calling of Reid is a perfect match with the improvisation ability and creativity of Mahomes, and it has led them to massive success.
The pair will be looking to cement themselves as one of the best quarterback-head coach duos of all time, and it will be hard to argue against their case if they win yet another Super Bowl.
