There is plenty of evidence and ancient texts to support the idea that giants once existed on Earth. However, you may never have heard the story of Kap Dwa, the two-headed giant at the end of the world in Patagonia, Chile.
Where does Kap Dwa come from?
Kap Dwa is one of the rare cases of giants. Kap Dwa is 3.5 m tall and has 2 heads. The story begins in 1673 when Kap Dwa was captured by Spanish sailors and imprisoned in the cabin of a ship.
Later, Kap Dwa’s mummy was purchased by a circus owner in England. In 1914, after passing through many hands, Kap Dwa’s mummy turned up at Birnbeck Dock in Weston and was on display for 45 years until Thomas Howard, the Duke of Norfolk, purchased the land in 1959. Currently, Kap Dwa has been moved to Baltimore, Maryland, owned by Robert Gerber and his wife.

However, according to Gerber, Kap-Dwa was found dead on a beach with a large spear through his chest. Kap-Dwa was embalmed by locals in Paraguay, not Patagonia, until an English captain named George Bickle came along and repatriated his body, where it lay on display for many years. Eventually, the mummy was transported back to America to the city of Baltimore.
The fact that Kap Dwa has two heads can be explained as a pair of Siamese twins, a rare case.
Did giants ever exist in the past?
Kap Dwa is not the only giant mentioned in antiquity. In the 17th century, Dutch captain Sebalt de Weert (1567-1603) told how he and his crew witnessed members of a race of giants. While passing through the Strait of Magellan, he saw 7 unusually large ships approaching and threatening his ship. The people on the ship were very tall, with reddish-brown skin and long red hair. They wanted their ship to be far away from them.

Even the Aztecs, who lived mainly in central and southern Mexico during the 14th and 15th centuries, and the Maya, the people who developed the ultimate civilization, also lived between the 4th and 8th centuries in Central America and the Middle East. In 1931, two very large skeletons were found at the bottom of Humboldt Lake near Lovelock. One skeleton was 2.5 m tall, described as being wrapped in a plastic-covered cloth, unlike Egyptian mummies. The remaining skeleton is 3 m tall.

In 1950, fossils of a giant with a femur up to 1.2 m long were found near the Euphrates River in Türkiye and scientists thought that this person was about 5 meters tall. In 1970, the skeleton of a red-haired giant was revealed in the Amazon region.
We can also find numerous ancient texts and treatises that mention the existence of giants. Some of these texts can even be found in religious books such as the Bible.
“In that age and in the next generation there will be great men on the earth, for the sons of God will live with the daughters of men and have children; these were the mighty men of old, the famous heroes.” (Genesis 6:4)
