Marissa responded by expressing uncertainty and suggesting that it wasn’t fair to speculate on Selena’s physical changes, attributing them potentially to her autoimmune disorder, lupus, or other factors. Marissa’s comments, made next to a photo of Selena at the 2023 Golden Globes, emphasized a respectful distance from guessing about Selena’s medical or cosmetic history.
Despite the video being posted in April 2023, Selena addressed it in the comments section over the weekend. She wrote, “Honestly, I hate this. I was on steroids because of a flare-up. I have Botox. Marissa followed up with a new video, expressing that she hoped Selena didn’t take her comments personally and reiterating that people shouldn’t have to justify their changing appearances.
