Donald Trump or Kamala Harris? Who Dak Prescott Is Backing in the Presidential Election

The Dallas Cowboys’ losing streak increased this weekend after losing 27-21 to the Atlanta Falcons, leaving a negative record of 3-5. One of the main culprits is Dak Prescott, who signed a multi-million dollar renewal this season in exchange for $240 million over four years.

If we thought the luck of Prescott and Dallas could not get any worse, we were wrong. Dak suffered a hamstring injury in the second half of the game against the Falcons. The severity of the injury is not yet known, but it is a fact that he will miss some games.

Prescott will have an MRI to get a full understanding of his injury. Prescott will be sorely missed by the Cowboys in the next game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Regardless of Prescott‘s poor performance at the start of the season, he has been involved in the current presidential race in the United States. In 2020, when Donald Trump was president, Dak made it clear where he stood politically by donating $1 million to rectify systemic racism in policing.

The reason for Prescott’s stance began with the death of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement. The Dallas quarterback’s argument for making such a donation was “to improve our police training and address systemic racism through education and advocacy in our country”.

Although trying to be modest, Prescott admitted that he may have donated even more money to the movement.

“I just wanted to make a pledge to say that I’m here and that I’m here for the people, to help create a better culture within our law enforcement, so that we can gain that trust,” Prescott added.

Prescott has also been involved and expressed his stance on prison reform. In this case, he decided to write a letter to the governor of Oklahoma, requesting the release of Julius Jones, who was sentenced to death for being found guilty of a murder in 1999.

“I’ve been blessed with an incredible platform, and a platform to be able to touch and inspire so many people with my voice,” Prescott said. “I think it’s important and sometimes I feel like I have to do it.”

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones usually asks his players not to get involved in political matters, but in this case he supported Prescott‘s stance.

“Do I care what any player says, what our press says, what anybody thinks about any issue? Of course. And I’m listening. The point is that we’ll do it in a way that we think is sensitive and has the most grace possible for everybody’s genuine feelings,” Jones said.
